Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you use Satva, we collect only what is necessary to personalise your experience:

  • Birth details — date, time, and place of birth, used to compute your Vedic birth chart.
  • Messaging ID — your Telegram user ID or WhatsApp phone number, required to deliver messages to you.
  • Preferences — life focus, spiritual tradition, preferred language, and delivery schedule.
  • Email address (optional) — only if you request your birth chart by email or sign in to the web dashboard.
  • Conversation history — the last 15 messages are retained to provide contextual AI responses. Older messages are automatically deleted.
  • Payment information — processed exclusively by Lemon Squeezy. Satva never stores card numbers or payment credentials.

2. How we use your data

  • To compute your Vedic birth chart and personalise all daily messages.
  • To deliver morning, evening, and pre-sleep guidance at your chosen times.
  • To answer your questions with contextual, chart-aware AI responses.
  • To send your birth chart PDF when you request the full horoscope feature.
  • To process subscription payments and verify premium status.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose beyond providing Satva's service to you.

3. Who we share data with

Satva shares data with the following third-party services, each under their own privacy terms:

  • Supabase — our database provider. Data is stored on servers in the EU/US region.
  • Google Gemini — the AI that generates your personalised guidance. Birth chart context and recent messages are sent per request; nothing is stored by Google for training without explicit consent.
  • Lemon Squeezy — payment processor. They receive your email and payment details for subscription billing.
  • Resend — transactional email provider used to send your horoscope PDF.
  • OpenCage — geocoding service that converts your birth city name to coordinates. No personal identifier is sent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any party for commercial purposes.

4. Data retention

  • Daily horoscope content older than 30 days is automatically deleted.
  • Conversation messages are retained for 90 days then purged.
  • Your profile (birth details, preferences) is retained as long as you use Satva.
  • You may request deletion of all your data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Security

Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enabled — each user can only access their own records. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted via TLS. API keys and secrets are never exposed in logs or client-side code.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate birth details or preferences directly in the bot using /profile commands.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your entire account and all associated data.
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, message the Satva bot with /support or email us (see Section 8).

7. Children

Satva is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Satva evolves. Material changes will be announced in the bot. Continued use of Satva after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
